Inner West Harbour Junior Cricket Association
Representative Cricket
Stuart McCarthy is the representative convenor for the IWHCA Junior Representative Teams and Zoya Thakur is the Head Coach of our Girls Representative Teams.

IWHJCA competes in the New South Wales Youth Championships (NSWYC) - managed by Cricket NSW.

Trial Information - Boys 2026-27 Season
Eligibility
Must intend to register with an IWHJCA club (Leichhardt Wanderers, Concord Briars, Iron Cove Balmain Tigers and Ryde Hunters Hill Pirates) for season 2026-27.
We have also been advised by Cricket NSW that changes to eligibility may occur. We will keep you posted on these changes once they are released.
Players who may have trialled in the past are encouraged to try out again. All players develop at different stages so opportunities to be selected are always possible.

Guide on date of birth and relevant age group:

Under 11: born on or after 1 September 2015

Under 12: 1 September 2014 to 31 August 2015

Under 13: 1 September 2013 to 31 August 2014

Under 14: 1 September 2012 to 31 August 2013

Under 15: 1 September 2011 to 31 August 2012

Under 17: 1 September 2009 to 31 August 2011

Trial Dates
All trials will be conducted on Sundays.
Proposed dates* are as follows:
-
March 15, 2026 - Under 14

March 22, 2026 - Under 12 (first trial)
-
March 29, 2026 - Under 13

April 12, 2026 - Under 15

April 19, 2026 - Under 12 (second trial)

Note regarding U11s - U11s to be selected from U12 applicants - please register to attend the first U12 trial on March 22nd.
*The age group may change - will be confirmed in coming weeks.
Centre Wicket trials for all ages will take place after Sydney Winter Cricket comps conclude mid to late July (dates to be confirmed).
Pre-season for all age groups to commence early to mid August (dates to be confirmed).

All trials this year will again be held at:
Cricket Central, 161 Silverwater Road, Olympic Park.

The trial fee of $30 is also required at time of registration and is not refundable. This covers the costs associated with the trials such as indoor facility hire and selectors fees.
